I have joined a local gym by my college which teaches mixed martial arts and have been training there since the beginning of july. I need help getting started. I have always dreamed to get started as a fighter but just dont know where to go from here. I played football all four years of high school and also have a little bit of a wrestling background. There are not many great gyms around my area but i feel the training that i am recieving now would be good enough to actually compete. I am a hard worker and am dedicated to the sport. I will do whatever it may take to get into this business. I would really appreciate any advice that could help out or get my name out there. I want to finally enter the sport that I am obsessed with and be able to support my family from possible success in the sport.
I am 6'0 and weigh about 175 but would like to fight at 165.
Listen I live in channelview and I'm in need of a training partner, anybody that lives close by and would like to train outside get back to me thanks. I like doing hard things such as punch metal boxes and kick trees and punch the ground I like weighted training like wearing a weight suit to increase speed and I love training outside.
P.S. I am preparing for a match next month anyone have any advice or a new type of training that they have came up with and is willing to share?
