Markham expects positive things from the new union. “I look forward to an exciting long term relationship with Hilia Fights as the organization grows and takes its place in the MMA landscape,” Markham said.

Hilia Fights President, Tim McTee, said:

“Mike Markham is the most professional voice in the MMA industry, hands down. He carries himself as a true professional.”

Hello there. As you and I know their are a lot of MMA fighters looking for matches and looking to make at least a decent amount of money for a living. The problem is the sports has become popular with huge amounts of fighters but not the business side of it.

You can host MMA fights and making thousands but you don't have to be Dana White. Having a MMA background is a good starting point as you know how the MMA world works and the rules. All you need is a ring which can be a flat wrestling mat with at least some ropes to hold the fighters in. You do need a crowd around the fight but not a big of crowd as you would post it online to get the real audience. Youtube can bring in some money but I wouldn't advise it. You would have to set your own website so that businesess can establish contracts with you that will pay you thousands a month. It all depends on how many viewer hits you website gets. Once you establish a decent amount of viewers businesses will allow you to sign contracts with them where they pay thousands a month to advertise on your website.

You don't have to pay someone thousands to create a video website. Their are video website hosts that have premade websites which also hosts your website where you pay a monthly fee of around $7/$12 per month. One i would suggest is webs.com. Their are also other website hosts where you can host live videos that however you'll have to find out. You can also sell items or uploaded videos to people with webs.com

The key in making money off a website is getting visitors to your site. Of course if you can host a MMA match and draw a small crowd I'm sure you can get people to get other people to visit your website. Even if not you can pay google add words to advertise your website where your website will appear at the top anytime someone types in a key search words in google . What key search word appear is up to you. Do not try advertising on youtube, facebook. They will cost thousands and unlikely get you any viewers. Like I said if you can draw a crowd to a fight you can also spread the word easier and get people visiting your site and probably won't have to do this. Google advertisment also called google add words is the cheapest advertisment, services which will bring people to your website. You should also pass out flyers or put them on cars with your website address.

With the internet and easy to use low cost video cameras its easy to host a fight and making a ton of money.

So that you don't get reported and in trouble with the police you do need to get a business license and register with the IRS as a legit business. If you don't you'll be doing secret matches and likely never expand. Any business that does not have a license is considered illegal so get one. MMA matches are allowed in most states. If you have a big enough yard you can host it or rent a place for a MMA match. You should get insurance which doesn't cost most to insure the fighters. Every business is usually required to have insurance or as most MMA schools do sign make a fighter sing an paper informing them that they can't sue in case they get injured. But you'll have to figure out if you need insurance or not.

You don't need to bring in out of state fighters because your community or state already has tons of fighters. Do not wait for fighters to come knocking. If someone says they can fight and knows some mma I suggest you give them a try out or testing with other fighters as you are in the business of making money not in the business of seeing if you can get the best MMA fighters. Fighters that suck will usually give up and not last long in MMA.

At the present time a lot of people host fights in arenas but their money only comes out of people who attend the arena. Most fighters don't get paid. They, the fighting arena host, lack networking and webs skills to expand their business and could care less.

MMA matches draw in crowds and viewers. The longer your in that business the more viewers or crowds you'll get. If the fighter is good, he/she will draw in people. A good fighter will prove his skills in the ring and if he/she loses to much it means they suck. Do not be bias in letting people fight. Just a long as you show them what they are getting in so that they don't get seriously injured.

You will make money. If you do it correctly you will be making around 30 thousand or more a month from business advertisements on your site. You can also make pay people to view some matches online.
