Ring Announcer Mike Markham Named Voice of Hilia Fights

New Orleans, Louisiana - April 17, 2013 - World Class Ring Announcer Mike Markham has been named the official “Voice of Hilia”. Hilia Fights is a new high-level mixed martial arts promotion based in the New Orleans area.

Markham expects positive things from the new union. “I look forward to an exciting long term relationship with Hilia Fights as the organization grows and takes its place in the MMA landscape,” Markham said.

Markham has announced events ranging from the World Professional Jiu-Jitsu Championship in Abu Dhabi to bouts involving the legendary Fedor Emelianenko in Russia.

Markham has worked as a live announcer for over 40 entities, including 24 fight promoters, at engagements around the world.

Hilia Fights’ inaugural event is scheduled for April 26th at the site of UFCs 16 and 18, the Pontchartrain Center in Kenner, Louisiana. The featured bout pairs the undefeated Chaz Morgan and the once beaten Sammy Smith for the promotion’s Super Heavyweight Championship. Bellator and XFC veteran Sky Moiseichik will face Jeff Humphries in a featherweight affair. The event is available through television providers via iN DEMAND pay-per-view TV.

Ring Announcer Mike Markham Named Voice of BAMMA UK

London, England - March 6, 2013 - World Class Ring Announcer Mike Markham has been named the official “Voice of BAMMA”. BAMMA (British Association of Mixed Martial Arts) is the premiere MMA organization in Europe and one of the most prestigious international entities in the sport.

Markham expects positive things from the union moving forward. “I look forward to an exciting long term relationship with BAMMA as the sport of MMA continues to vibrantly explode across the United Kingdom,” Markham said.

BAMMA’s Managing Director, Ashley Bothwell, said:

Ring Announcer Mike Markham to Work BAMMA 11 in the UK

London, England - November 20, 2012 - World Class Ring Announcer Mike Markham has been selected to work the British Association of Mixed Martial Arts’ BAMMA 11 event on December 1st at Birmingham, England’s National Indoor Arena.



Markham looks forward to the event and anticipates a special night in England. “It’s an honor to work for an organization like BAMMA and I anticipate the NIA being full of energy from the British fans,” Markham said.



The BAMMA 11 main event will be a Middleweight bout featuring the popular Jack “The Hammer” Marshman and French star Xavier Foupa-Pokam. BAMMA 11 will be televised live on Channel 5 on December 1st at 11:00 P.M. local time in the United Kingdom. The event will be shown at 4:00 P.M. Eastern Standard Time in the United States on AXS TV (formerly HDNet).



Markham has worked events ranging from the World Professional Jiu-Jitsu Championship in Abu Dhabi to the legendary Fedor Emelianenko’s June 21st defeat of Pedro Rizzo in St. Petersburg, Russia.
