18 y/o might be moving to Hawaii next year, looking for training there

Hello I'm Devaun and at the moment I am residing in California and have a strong chance of moving to Hawaii next year, I was born and raised in Guam, I have 0 professional experience, but I have a strong mental fortitude and a unbreakable will, I will have no emotion and listen and comply with all commands from my trainer/coach, I was raised on my culture from birth and I have strong respect till this day. The reason why I am pursuing this path in my life is that I want to represent my country, help my family back home, and to ultimately better myself. If I do decide to come to Hawaii my time will mostly be committed to training and working. I will be more than glad to adjust to anything you need me to do.

Contact: kepustas@gmail.com

Becoming a Fighter -My first steps.

Well to be honest, I made the decision to start working towards becoming a MMA competitor when I saw Jon jones(Who still reigns as my favorite fighter) dominate Rampage Jackson in the UFC, and have been studying and researching for the past year taking BJJ classes here in the west valley of Phoenix Arizona on and off.

A two weeks ago I decided to become serious about it and hopefully make a career out of this(And as every young and upcoming practitioner hope to make it to the UFC.). I have no wrestling backround and boxed at a boxing gym for a few weeks five years ago.

I am currently attending PHX BJJ and MMA academy who is associated with the Lab(Benson Hendersons gym) and now with Caio Terra 6X BJJ Champ. Which I have been attending morning bjj no gi-gi-open mat class every day now with the exclusion of sunday because they are not open.

Since my Cardio(has improved) isn't the best, I will be starting at a crossfit gym next door, because I hear adding crossfit to your training regime is a killer combination(I believe Jason mcdonald does crossfit also and is in great shape). I will be taking Kickboxing classes along with my BJJ(Which incorpriates Judo throws and wrestling all into the class) So I could have a Base.

So I will be working with mUAY tHAi, Boxing, Bjj/wrestling and Crossfit along with two MMA classes a week at a different gym(Siege MMA, unless my Gym starts to offer core MMA classes) along with 3 private lessons a month with each coach to go over some of my moves and make sure everything is running smooth.. And I have been researching the basics of nutritions and have a good hang on my diet now(very clean cut diet for two months.)

I am 17, 200 pounds, 6'2 and would classify as a meseomorph in body type.(African american if anyone must know.)

Could anyone throw me some constructive advice on how to improve my gameplan for training so I can squeeze it for what it's worth?

I will be entering the upcoming BJJ tourney to get used to being infront of a crowd. And am basically focusing the majority of my training towards strength and extreeme cardio, so my conditioning can make up for my lack of skill since I don't have that ''All American High school wrestler'' backround or a big stiker.. Atheleticism seems to be my best friend..

Like I said, constructive advice would be greatly appreciated.

Starting out

Hi, I am considering jumping into mma. My background is in wrestling/grappling but people have suggested that I look into MMA for money. I just have a few questions.

As an amateur, how much money can I expect per fight? (I know by definition, amateur means unpaid, but everyone I know who fights say they get paid for it)

Are there win/submission/ko bonuses at amateur?

How do I go about obtaining sponsors as a first time fighter?

What would be a good promotion within 100 miles of Chicago to start out in?

Thanks

Looking for a trainer.

I don't have a lot of experience with fighting other than my brothers that have been teaching me a bit of boxing since I was 13. I am not in amazing shape but I have the heart and recently, I have just been thinking about this and it is something I really want to do. I don't give up and I don't slack, if someone gives me 100%,I try to give back 120%. I live in North Carolina, I am 5'8" 182 pounds, I work out but I am slacking on cardio. I would love to find some help and someone to keep on me and get me to the definition in my life I want. I went through a lot as a kid, I had the hell beat out of me a lot but when I look back on it, I am proud because I was weak as a kid but I never gave up. I am just looking for a little guidance in finding somewhere or someone to go to and help me get discipline. I would much appreciate any help or offers in finding this. Thanks
